Campaign for Culture and Creativity

Shining Studios is happy to announce that after only 15 short months of opening in Port Washington, we have officially signed a lease and will be moving into our new official storefront home at 18 Haven Avenue in the heart of Port Washington (directly across from the train station.)

We are happy to officially announce to everyone, that with the help of generous business and individual sponsors in Port, our Campaign for Culture and Creativity has been successfully funded.  Throughout the next month, we will be continuing to renovate the beautiful space at 18 Haven Avenue into Port Washington’s very own Black Box theatre (including a sound and lighting system, performance stage, seating, backstage/green room, reception area, and office.)  Not only will this be our home for rehearsals, but we plan to hold smaller-scale productions, cabaret events, open mic nights, poetry slams, benefit and charity performances, and other cultural events here in the evenings.  The vision for this space is to create another hub for culture and creativity for youth.

We are excited to begin the Winter/Spring semester in our new home!
